Alphabet Art

The Alphabet Wall

A year ago when I started writing on this forum, my first post was The Alphabet Wall, a project so creatively fulfilling that it propelled me to start sharing my projects more publicly in the hopes of inspiring others to create things a little outside of normal perimeters.

Well, it worked out how I hoped it would. Inspired by my wall, my amazingly creative friend Andria decided to take a stab at her own Alphabet Wall, and she had the awesome idea of affixing the letters to a board so that it was easily transportable from room to room. Here’s what her Alphabet Board looks like:IMG_2275Since Andria and I have always been of the like-mind of building each other up, a creative collaboration was a natural step in our friendship. So for our first project we decided to create some easily transportable Alphabet Art. We each set out to make a few pieces in our signature colours and styles to sell online. We worked independently, but there were many photo and text messages exchanged late into the night, consulting one another about our design choices. Here’s a peek at some of our pieces: The first few are my creations, all in a neutral colour palette.

Here are a few of Andria’s creations… please pardon the quality of photos, Andria JUST had a baby, like a week ago, and he was a tad early, so needless to say she has been a little busy. Andria is a little braver with her use of colour compared to me:

If you see something you like, let us know and we can make it happen! Email me at mahsamani.com@gmail.com or message us with any inquires you may have.

Andria and I each have two young kids, and her youngest is only a week old! We also both have rather demanding jobs, but we have always been strong believers in having interests and lives outside of our kids. We wanted to make these pieces because we noticed that there was a demand and interest in original and unique pieces to display in kids’ bedrooms, playrooms, nurseries and offices. As a way to keep the good karma going, we have decided to donate a portion of our proceeds to some very worthy charitable causes. So stay tuned for more original pieces and projects, but for now we are taking a little break to gush over our newest addition. IMG_6897
